Art Contest & Exhibition
This February the Nova Scotia SPCA is pleased to announce the launch of its 4th Annual Humane Education Art Contest & Exhibition
The aim of this exhibition is to encourage Nova Scotia youth to think about Society’s relationship with animals. This year's theme is Caring for Your Pet, with topics including:
- Importance of Spaying or Neutering your Pet
- What a Pet needs to live a happy healthy life
- Keeping your pet safe
Students in any grade up to Grade 12 can submit an entry for an exhibition at the Society’s Annual General Meeting on April 14th 2012 (tentatively), with juried posters selected for printing. Artists of posters that are selected for printing will be given a token of appreciation from the Nova Scotia SPCA. In addition they will be featured in the Provincial Newsletter and will receive the opportunity to name one of our adoptable animals (choice of a dog, cat, or rabbit). All participants will receive a certificate of participation and their art will be featured on the Provincial Website.
Entries must be received by the your local Nova Scotia SPCA Branch by April 1st, 2012.
Please Note: A $2.00 donation per entry is being requested to go towards our area of greatest need, Cruelty Investigations.
